The “Application Integrity Controller” (AIC) is a protection add-on for your software application, capable of checking and identifying the integrity of your software and thus allowing its further execution according to the check results.

MediaSoft has developed AIC to provide to software developers and publishers the means to guard and monitor the structural scheme of their product and therefore get an additional way of dealing with casual piracy.

In specific, when the end-user starts executing the software application, AIC performs a sequence of check-controls and measurements to verify whether the software application has been changed, modified, or interfered.

AIC allows programmers to define which files to be monitored, so that the structural scheme of the application shall be protected. Therefore, AIC may monitor:

	The crucial data files that could be changed by a hacker.
	The main software engine that could be taken for use by a hacker.
	The already applied copy protection technology, or access and use control system that could be passed over by a hacker.
	The presence and effect of viruses that have an impact to the application.

At all cases, AIC acts as an additional safety feature to the existing safety systems already applied to the software application, by detecting any possible modification done to the original structural scheme of the application and therefore, approves or rejects its further execution. In other words, AIC acts as a software protection add-on against:
