The “Screen Resolution Adjuster” (SRA) is a small-sized software utility added to your multimedia title, which manages to change and adjust the screen resolution in such a way that your multimedia title shall fit perfectly in the screen and cover its entire space, hiding other useless graphics, windows, or applications. At the same time, SRA automatically adjusts the screen font size to “small” by default, resolving this way, several operational problems that “large” or “custom” screen font sizes usually provoke. Therefore, SRA really helps end-user to focus all its attention to your multimedia title and content.
MediaSoft has developed SRA in order to eliminate common operational problems of multimedia titles, occurred by this screen mismatch.
For example, if your multimedia title is designed to run under a 800x600 screen resolution, and it’s viewed on a PC with a 1024x768 screen resolution setting, then the following might occur:
 |
The application might not be placed in the center of the screen, but it will be randomly dislocated somewhere on the screen. |
 |
The remaining area on screen might contain windows icons, wallpaper, or other applications that are conflicting with the prestige and concept of your title, and have a bad impact on the title's graphical design. |
 |
The remaining area on screen might be black and wasted, giving to the end-user the impression that your title has been poorly and insufficiently developed. |
When the end-user exits the title, both the screen resolution and the font size are restored to their previous configuration settings. Depending on the developing tool used for the creation of your multimedia title, this process can be done either automatically, or by simply pressing the "OK" button displayed on screen along with an appropriate informative message.

Apart from the automatic screen resolution adjustment, SRA provides one more absolutely necessary feature for all multimedia and software titles:
It has a build-in system for prevention of the problem occurred by multiple executions of the Autorun feature.
This problem can occur in CDROM drives that face difficulties in reading the disc.
If the title is enabled for automatic start (Autorun feature), then multiple instances of the title might be started in a few seconds time, resulting in the distorted (or failed) execution of the title.
SRA prevents this problem by allowing only one instance of the title to be loaded and executed in the PC memory.
The “Screen Resolution Adjuster” operates under Windows 95, 98, ME, NT, 2000 and XP, and manages to solve these problems in a very effective manner.
